Paolo
Secondo, the
owner of Barolo Restaurant, started his business in his
native city, Genoa, Italy.
In 1980, he bought a local old wine bar and restaurant and
renamed it I Tre Merli.
Buoyed by the success of his first establishment, he decided
to export the concept to the United States.
After I Tre Merli in New York, Secondo opened Barolo and
several other restaurants.
There are now three I Tre Merli restaurants in Genoa, as
well as the I Tre Merli Locanda in Camogli.
Secondo's latest venture has been in New York City's Meatpacking
District: Revel, a massive indoor-outdoor space with a Bar/Restaurant. |
